Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our GMIT-Prime team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our Prime services, which include a suite of applications catering to different streams like Cash, Synthetics, Trade Processing, Margin, and Financing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between junior team members' knowledge and application needs.

Job Responsibilities

- Application development (UI + Backend), support, enhancements, bug-fixing, and mentoring
- Demonstrating good understanding of the functional aspects of the application
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Escalating problems to local management and suggesting solutions
- Ensuring that project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life-cycle and day-to-day development work
- Maintaining administration tasks, such as Jira and Wiki
- Meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- Strong technical skills in Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate,



and Angular
- Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Sonar, and BitBucket
- Knowledge of Rest API, Kafka, and MQ
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to collaborate, deliver results, and pay attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have Skills and Experience

- Experience with Python, Redis, or Oracle Coherence
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments
