Role & responsibilities
- SMV Benchmarking & Work Study: -Establish accurate Standard Minute Value (SMV) benchmarks across ethnic wear categories (kurtas, sherwanis, bundis) using rigorous time and motion studies.
- Open Costing & Scientific Rates: Lead open costing models for garment manufacturing and value additions to build transparent, standard manufacturing costs.
- Embroidery Cost Optimization: Analyze stitch counts, digitizing techniques, and machine run-times to systematically eliminate waste and control decorative process costs.
- BOM & Process Accuracy in PLM: Drive end-to-end Bill of Materials (BOM) setup, routing creation, and data governance within Blue Kaktus ERP to eliminate costing and operational mismatches.
- Shop-Floor Productivity & Line Balancing: Design efficient operation breakdowns, optimize workstation layouts, and balance assembly lines to improve throughput and operator efficiency.
- Vendor Governance & Capacity Audits:
Partner with vendor production units to validate capacities, audit cycle times, and ensure standard industrial engineering best practices are maintained.
- Process Innovation & Cost Reduction: Spearhead lean manufacturing initiatives, method improvements, and standardized SOPs to reduce lead times and lower unit production costs across seasonal collections.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Apparel Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Solid understanding of garment manufacturing, industrial engineering concepts, and MS Excel.
