Assist with machine and mould setup by checking mould identification, clamping, cooling connections, and safety interlocks before production.
Verify that resin grade, colour, batch number, and drying requirements match the job card before loading material.
Check process settings against the approved process sheet, including barrel and nozzle temperatures, injection pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, and cycle time.
Monitor machine readings and part quality during production; report parameter drift or repeated defects to the Supervisor.
Inspect start-up and in-process parts for short shots, flash, sink marks, burn marks, warpage, and dimensional deviations using the specified gauges.
Confirm that first-off samples are approved and documented before authorizing continued production, as per site procedure.
Monitor material feeding, hopper drying, colour dosing,
and regrind use in line with the production and quality instructions.
Record machine-wise output, cycle time, rejection quantity, downtime, process changes, and material consumption in shift documents.
Assist with mould changeovers and troubleshooting by coordinating with the setter, toolroom, maintenance, and quality teams.
Ensure operators follow machine guarding, purging, mould-handling, and lockout procedures, and report unsafe conditions or equipment faults promptly.
