We develop software using AI agents. Our engineers contribute code while focusing on understanding customer problems, designing system architecture, defining solutions, and ensuring that the delivered applications work reliably and create business value.

About the role

We are looking for an engineer who combines industrial domain knowledge, software engineering, and system design skills.

Your contribution will include hands-on coding, with a strong emphasis on understanding customer operations and translating business needs into well-designed applications. You will guide AI agents during development, review and refine their output, and take responsibility for the quality of the resulting solution.

You will contribute across the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), from customer discovery and requirements gathering through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

Key responsibilities

- Understand customer problems: Work with customers to understand their processes, operational challenges, business priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Define requirements: Translate customer needs into workflows, functional requirements, user stories, and measurable acceptance criteria.
- Design system architecture: Define application components, data models, interfaces, and integration patterns that support reliable, maintainable solutions.
- Develop with AI agents:



Break requirements into development tasks, guide AI agents, contribute code, and review and improve generated implementations.
- Build industrial applications: Develop solutions for production execution, warehouse management, maintenance, scheduling, and related manufacturing needs.
- Integrate IT and OT: Connect PLCs, machines, sensors, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Test and validate: Contribute to test planning, automated and integration testing, system validation, defect resolution, and user acceptance testing.
- Deliver and improve: Support deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting, documentation, and improvements based on customer feedback.

Required skills and experience
- Experience in Industry 4.0, industrial software, manufacturing digitalisation, or IT–OT application development.
- Ability to understand customer problems, question assumptions, and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Understanding of software architecture, data modelling, APIs, databases, and system integration.
- Hands-on coding experience in a language such as Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or C++.
- Ability to review, debug, and validate code, including code generated by AI agents.
- Working knowledge of one or more of these application domains, with willingness to learn the others:




- MES: Production execution, work orders, traceability, quality, and machine data.
- WMS: Inventory, material movements, receiving, picking, and warehouse workflows.
- CMMS: Equipment records, preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and maintenance work orders.
- Production scheduling: Capacity, resource availability, material constraints, sequencing, and dependencies.
- Understanding of PLC concepts and industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, or Modbus.
- Experience contributing across the SDLC, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Transparent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers, domain experts, and developers.

Preferred experience
- Hands-on experience with CODESYS, Beckhoff TwinCAT, WAGO, or Phoenix Contact PLCnext.
- IEC 61131-3 programming, particularly Structured Text or Ladder Diagram.
- AI coding agents or AI-assisted software development workflows.
- Industrial commissioning, equipment integration, or factory troubleshooting.
- Integration of manufacturing applications with ERP and other business systems.
- Familiarity with ISA-95 or ISA-88 concepts.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, or edge deployments.
