Financial

Work with business process owners to identify improvements in processes to reduce tax liability and litigations Ensure compliance to indirect tax legislations viz. VAT, Service Tax, Excise, Entry Tax etc. Assist the Head to gauge the impact on indirect tax matters related to de-merger, amalgamation and merger works with respect to various authorities under VAT/CST, Professional Tax, Service Tax, PF/ESI, and Gratuity Acts Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization 2.

Customer

Co-ordinate with statutory as well as internal auditors regarding indirect taxation related matters and resolve or escalate any issues/observations recorded by them to the Head Liaison with Sales team in Indirect tax related matters to optimize indirect taxes Accompany the Head to coordinate with VAT consultant and ensure timely filing of returns 3.

Operations

Update the Head regarding compliance to all statutory formalities such as filing of periodical VAT, Service Tax, Skilled Tax, Provident Fund returns As instructed,



provide replies to the Tax Notices and ensure compliance to the same Ensure availability of permits and timely issuance/collection of statutory sales tax forms Keep track of latest amendments in indirect taxes and assess impact of same on the organization; issue guidelines to operating staff to make requisite changes in the systems and business processes in line with the amendments Assist the Head to ensure smooth conduct of excise audits such as CERA, Commissioner Internal Audit and Audit from Commercial Tax Departments and escalate the issues/observations recorded by them, in the absence of the Head Ensure draft replies to notices, preparation of appeals, representation before authorities, etc. Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 4. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members� and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team�s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees A merger of experience and expertise, Dalmia is the pioneer and leader in innovation for the last seven decades.
