? WE’RE HIRING | HR MANAGER – KOLKATA
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead the people function for a manufacturing plant in Kolkata with approximately 600 employees.
This is a plant-based, shop-floor-facing role reporting directly to the CEO, with a key focus on workforce management, employee relations, statutory compliance, recruitment, and supporting the expansion into a second shift.
? Location: Kolkata – On-site (Plant and Office)
? Reporting To: CEO
? Experience: 7–12 years
? Factory HR Experience: Minimum 3 years
? Salary: ₹40,000–₹60,000 per month, depending on experience
? Key Responsibilities:
- Handle worker grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, show-cause notices, and domestic enquiries.
- Maintain strong shop-floor engagement and conduct worker/welfare committee meetings.
- Support second-shift rollout, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and shift transition.
- Manage recruitment for shop-floor, supervisory, and office positions
- Conduct induction, safety orientation, and probation reviews
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Qualified Tax, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Factories Act, West Bengal labour laws, and contract labour regulations.
- Oversee attendance, payroll inputs, overtime, leave, F&F; settlements, and contractor compliance.
- Coordinate training, employee welfare, safety initiatives, canteen, transport, and medical facilities.
- Prepare monthly HR MIS covering headcount, attrition, absenteeism, grievances, overtime, and compliance
? What We’re Looking For:
✅ MBA/PGDM HR, MSW or equivalent
✅ Strong Factory/Plant HR experience
✅ Hands-on blue-collar workforce management
✅ Labour law and statutory compliance knowledge
✅ Experience with unions/worker representatives & inspections
✅ Bengali Hindi English communication skills
✅ HRMS, Payroll, Excel and ERP exposure
