About the role:

We are looking for an HR Manager who owns end-to-end hiring for our operations workforce. You will keep our dark store and field sites fully staffed, on time and with the right people.

The role blends high-volume field managers hiring. You will work closely with operations heads to plan manpower, run sourcing drives, manage vendors, and make sure every new joiner is onboarded and compliant from day one.

Hiring mandate:

The candidate will be hired for three operations functions, each with a different profile and hiring style across inventory, offloading and field deployment team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manpower planning

- Work with operations heads each month to forecast headcount by team, site and shift, including peak-season and new-site needs.
- Maintain a live open-positions tracker with priority, target joining date and status.

Sourcing and recruitment

- Run bulk hiring drives, walk-ins and on-site recruitment camps for Inventory and Offloading roles.
- Source through job portals (Naukri, Apna, WorkIndia, Indeed), employee referrals, local networks and community channels.
- Hire Operation Managers through targeted search, LinkedIn, consultants and industry networks.
- Build and maintain a ready bench of pre-screened candidates for high-attrition roles.

Screening and selection

- Maintain hiring pipeline, and coordinate interviews
- Negotiate salaries within approved bands and roll out offer letters.

Vendor management

- Onboard and manage manpower and recruitment vendors; track their closures, quality and billing.
- Ensure vendor staff meet statutory compliance

Onboarding and compliance

- Complete documentation, background and ID verification (Aadhaar, PAN, address, previous employment where needed).
- Run day-one induction for all new joinees with Ops leadership.
- Enrol joiners in PF, ESIC and payroll,



and hand over to operations smoothly.

Retention and reporting

- Track early attrition (first 30/60/90 days) and run exit conversations to find root causes.
- Share weekly hiring dashboards: open roles, pipeline, closures, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire and vendor performance.
- Suggest improvements to job profiles, pay bands and referral schemes based on hiring data.

Qualifications and experience:

Must have

- Graduate in any discipline; MBA / PGDM in HR preferred.
- 2–5 years in recruitment, with proven high-volume or field managers hiring (warehousing, logistics, e-commerce, 3PL, retail, manufacturing or facility management).
- Experience hiring supervisors or managers for field or site operations.

Good to have

- Experience managing manpower / staffing vendors.
- Exposure to ATS or HRMS tools (e.g. Zoho Recruit, Keka, greytHR, Darwinbox).
- Experience setting up hiring for a new site or scaling a team quickly.

Skills and traits

- Communication: fluent in Hindi and English; can speak comfortably with both ground staff and senior managers (regional language a plus).
- Speed and hustle: can close urgent positions within days and handle many open roles at once.
- Judgement: can quickly assess fitness, reliability and attitude for ground roles, and leadership for manager roles.
- Negotiation: handles salary talks with candidates and commercial talks with vendors.
- Data comfort: positive with Excel / Google Sheets for trackers and dashboards.
- Ownership: follows up from requisition to joining and stays accountable for early attrition.
- Integrity: handles candidate data confidentially and never compromises on compliance.

- Salary: ₹5 – ₹7 LPA, based on experience.
