HR Generalist (with Recruitment Focus)

Location: Andheri, Mumbai (Work from Office)

Experience: 5+ years (at least 1.5-2 years in end-to-end recruitment)

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist with strong recruitment experience to manage the complete employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to engagement, compliance, and exits. You will be a key partner to business leaders, balancing talent acquisition with day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (approx. 50%)

- Manage end-to-end recruitment: job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer rollout, and closure

- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and prepare accurate job descriptions

- Source candidates through job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed), social media, referrals, and consultants

- Maintain a talent pipeline and track hiring metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and offer-to-join ratio

- Manage recruitment vendors and agencies

- Deliver a positive candidate experience and strong employer branding

HR Operations & Generalist Duties (approx. 50%)

- Conduct onboarding and induction, including documentation and background verification

- Maintain employee records, HRIS data, and HR MIS reports

- Support attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs

- Handle employee queries,



grievances, and relations issues

- Drive engagement activities, events, and recognition programs

- Support performance management cycles, appraisals, and probation reviews

- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.)

- Manage exit formalities, including exit interviews, F&F; coordination, and experience letters

- Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and SOPs

Required Qualifications & Skills

- MBA/PGDM in HR or a related field (preferred), or a graduate degree with relevant HR experience

- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a combined HR and recruitment role

- Hands-on experience in bulk and lateral hiring

- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR compliance

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and HRMS/ATS tools

- Solid communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced environment

- High integrity and confidentiality in handling employee data
