Location: Jaipur : Office

Company: Karat Foundry

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Reports to: Founder

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Working Days: 6 days a week

About Us

Karat Foundry is a Jaipur-born jewellery house built on polki set in 925 silver and uncompromising craftsmanship. We operate on two fronts: Karat Foundry, a luxury consumer brand creating heirloom-grade bridal and occasion jewellery with a global outlook, and Karat Foundry Mfg., our manufacturing and B2B arm that produces for leading brands and trade buyers. Our team brings together skilled karigars, designers, sales and operations professionals, and we are growing rapid.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on HR & Accounts Executive to build and run the people function across our brand office and manufacturing unit, and to maintain complete sale and purchase records with regular accounts reporting. This is a foundational role: you will set up processes from the ground up, manage day-to-day HR and accounts operations, and help shape a culture that respects craft, discipline and ambition.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Manage end-to-end hiring for office roles (sales, marketing, design, accounts, operations) and production roles (karigars, setters, polishers, QC).
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals, local networks and karigar communities; screen, schedule and coordinate interviews.
- Issue offer and appointment letters, run joining formalities, induction and documentation.

Payroll, Attendance & Compliance
- Maintain attendance and leave records for office staff and the production floor (biometric/register based).
- Prepare monthly salary inputs including piece-rate/job-work wages, overtime, advances and deductions.

- Handle statutory compliance as applicable: PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment and Factories Act requirements.
- Maintain employee files, contracts, KYC and compliance registers in an organised, audit-ready manner.

Policies & HR Systems
- Draft and implement the employee handbook: leave, attendance, conduct, confidentiality, and gold/silver/stone handling and security protocols.
- Set up simple, scalable HR systems (HRMS or structured sheets) and standard formats for all HR documentation.

Employee Relations & Culture
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances; resolve issues fairly and on time.
- Maintain discipline on the shop floor and in the office; manage warnings, inquiries and exits with proper documentation.
- Plan engagement activities, festival celebrations and recognition initiatives to build loyalty and pride in the craft.

Performance & Development
- Support goal-setting and periodic performance reviews for office teams, and output/quality tracking for production teams.
- Coordinate skill-development and training programmes, including upskilling of karigars and new-joiner training.

Accounts & Business Reporting
- Maintain a complete, end-to-end record of every sale and purchase transaction, including invoices, bills, party details, quantities, weights, rates, GST and payment status.
- Reconcile sales and purchase records with Tally/accounting software,

bank statements and stock movement.
- Track receivables and payables party-wise and follow up on pending payments.
- Prepare and share a monthly end-to-end accounts report with the founder covering sales, purchases, GST summary, outstanding receivables and payables, and overall business position.
- Ensure all supporting documents are filed and audit-ready at all times.

Exits & HR Reporting
- Manage resignations, full and final settlements, handover checklists and exit interviews.
- Share monthly HR reports with the founder on headcount, attrition, hiring pipeline, attendance and payroll cost.

What We Are Looking For

- Graduate in any discipline; B.Com or MBA/PGDM (HR/Finance) preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in HR and/or accounts, ideally in jewellery, manufacturing, textiles, handicrafts or a growing startup.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, Factories Act).
- Working knowledge of accounting, Tally and GST; ability to maintain sale and purchase records and prepare accounts reports.
- Experience handling blue-collar/artisan workforces alongside white-collar teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets; exposure to an HRMS or payroll software is a plus.
- Fluent in Hindi and English.
- Organised, discreet, firm yet approachable, with a strong sense of ownership.

Why Join Karat Foundry

- Build the HR and accounts function from the ground up in a brand with global ambitions.
- Work directly with the founder and have real influence on how the company grows.
- Be part of a house that celebrates Indian craftsmanship and takes it to the world.
