Senior Workday Functional Testing Lead Work location: India - Remote

Experience: 10+ years in software testing, including 5+ years of Workday testing

Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced testing professional with strong functional testing skills and the ability to lead testing activities. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of overall testing experience , including at least 5 years testing Workday applications , and be comfortable working in a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead functional testing activities for Workday implementations, enhancements, releases, and support changes.
- Review business requirements and translate them into test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Coordinate test execution, defect tracking, triage, and resolution with business, technology, and implementation teams.
- Support UAT by preparing test materials, guiding users,



and tracking feedback through closure.
- Monitor testing progress, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics; provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure test evidence and documentation are complete and maintained.
- Mentor team members and promote consistent testing practices.
- Work collaboratively with distributed teams and manage testing activities independently in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- 10+ years of experience in software testing, with substantial functional testing experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday testing.
- Experience creating and executing test strategies, scenarios, and test cases.
- Strong understanding of defect management and the full testing lifecycle.
- Demonstrated capability to lead testing activities, coordinate teams, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teams across locations and time zones.

Preferred

- Experience testing Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Perks, Recruiting, or Financials.
- Exposure to Workday integrations, reports, security, or data conversion testing.
- Experience with Agile delivery and test management or defect tracking tools.
