The Warehouse Methods Engineer will be part of the Methods & Process Engineering function and will be responsible for designing and optimizing warehouse and intralogistics processes for current operations as well as new products/process changes. The role requires someone who can translate material-flow requirements into warehouse layouts, storage systems, material-handling solutions, capacity models and optimized logistics processes.
A critical aspect of the role is that the person should work closely with SEM and Warehouse/Operations teams, bridging the gap between engineering/design and day-to-day warehouse execution.
The candidate should ideally have:
- 8-12 years in Warehouse Engineering / Logistics Engineering / Warehouse Methods / Industrial Engineering
- Hands-on experience in warehouse design and redesign
- Experience in material handling and MHE selection
- Warehouse capacity and space-utilization calculations
- Material-flow and process-flow analysis
- Storage media selection and design
- Slotting and warehouse optimization
- PFEP – Plan for Every Part
- Experience supporting current product introduction / new line / plant expansion / CI projects
- Strong exposure to manufacturing environments, preferably automotive/electrical/electronics or similar complex manufacturing
- Experience working closely with Warehouse, SCM, Production and Engineering/Methods teams
