Purpose of the Role To ensure complete legal and regulatory compliance by establishing robust compliance systems, monitoring adherence to applicable laws, mitigating legal risks, and supporting business operations on legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal & Regulatory Compliance (Primary Responsibility)

· Ensure compliance with all applicable central, state and local laws governing the Auto & Industrial businesses.

Develop, maintain and monitor a comprehensive legal compliance calendar.

· Track changes in laws and regulations and ensure timely implementation across the business.

· Conduct periodic compliance audits and identify gaps, ensuring timely closure.

· Coordinate with business functions to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

· Maintain all statutory registers, records and compliance documentation.

· Prepare periodic compliance reports and dashboards for management.

2. Regulatory Interface

· Liaise with regulatory authorities, government departments and statutory bodies as required.

Coordinate inspections, notices and regulatory filings.





· Ensure timely response to regulatory queries and notices.

3. Policy & Governance

· Develop and implement compliance policies, SOPs and legal governance frameworks.

· Drive awareness and training programmes on legal compliance across functions.

· Promote a culture of compliance within the organisation.

4. Legal Risk Management

· Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.

· Monitor high-risk compliance areas and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

· Support internal audits and compliance reviews.

Qualification & Experience

· LLB from a recognised university (LLM or Company Secretary qualification would be an advantage).

· 15+ years of experience in legal compliance, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or aerospace sectors.

· Solid knowledge of industrial, labour, environmental, factory, corporate and commercial laws.
