Head of Human Resources

Scope: Two manufacturing plants and engineering teams across Faridabad, Bengaluru and Pune

Environment: Automotive and electronics manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the HR and administration function and build a capable, accountable team.
- Manage union relations and handle grievances, absenteeism, misconduct, domestic enquiries and disciplinary matters fairly, promptly and lawfully.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll through HR One, supported by proper checks and complete employee, attendance and leave records.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, POSH and all applicable statutory requirements.
- Own recruitment through LinkedIn Recruiter and other suitable channels.
- Strengthen performance management and succession planning.
- Improve employee retention, engagement and capability through practical learning and development initiatives.
- Oversee security, housekeeping, canteen,



transport and other administration contractors for service, compliance and cost.
- Use IT, analytics and AI to simplify processes, improve controls and reduce manual work.
- Lead culture change in a 50-year-old company to create a protected, positive workplace built on fairness, equal opportunity, dignity and psychological safety.

Candidate Profile
- 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, including substantial plant HR responsibility in a unionised manufacturing environment.
- A law degree is preferred.
- Action-oriented and attentive to detail, with strong follow-through.
- High integrity, factual communication and the confidence to give management an independent view.
- Able to combine firmness with empathy and develop managers to take ownership of their people responsibilities.
