SNOWCO is building the next generation of temperature-controlled logistics for the life-sciences industry. We are focused on connecting pharmaceutical and biotechnology supply chains through reliable, technology-enabled cold-chain infrastructure, covering transportation, storage, monitoring and distribution. We are building our network around India's key pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution corridors, with Baddi as an important starting point.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Cold Chain Operations to build and lead SNOWCO's initial operations in Baddi. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products actually move through India. You will be responsible for developing the operating model, building the local partner network, establishing processes and helping shape the corridors that SNOWCO will operate across.

You will work closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers, logistics partners, cold-storage providers and SNOWCO's leadership team to build a reliable, scalable cold-chain network.

What You Will DoBuild the Baddi Operation

- Design and establish SNOWCO's initial operating model in Baddi.
- Map pharmaceutical manufacturing activity and logistics flows originating from the region.
- Identify the infrastructure, transportation and warehousing capabilities required.
- Determine which capabilities should be operated directly and which should be delivered through partners.
- Develop SOPs, service standards and escalation processes.

Develop the Cold-Chain Network
- Identify and prioritize key pharma logistics corridors originating from Baddi.
- Evaluate routes connecting Baddi with Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Mumbai and other major pharmaceutical markets.
- Understand shipment frequency, volumes, service requirements and delivery windows.
- Determine the appropriate operating model for different corridors.
- Evaluate reefer transportation, passive packaging and other temperature-controlled solutions.

Manage Temperature-Controlled Operations
- Oversee transportation and handling of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.




- Develop processes for 2-8°C, controlled ambient 15-25°C and, where relevant, frozen shipments.
- Establish temperature-monitoring and excursion-management procedures.
- Ensure appropriate handling, documentation and escalation throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Work with technology partners to establish shipment and temperature visibility.

Build the Partner Network

Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with:
- Reefer transportation providers
- Cold-storage operators
- Warehousing and 3PL partners
- C&F; and distribution operators
- Passive packaging providers
- Temperature-monitoring and IoT providers
- Local transportation partners

Work With Pharma Customers

- Understand customer supply-chain requirements and product-specific temperature requirements.
- Work with pharmaceutical companies to understand their existing logistics models and pain points.
- Develop appropriate transportation, storage and distribution solutions.
- Support customer onboarding and operational implementation.
- Build long-term relationships with supply-chain, logistics, procurement and quality teams.

Build the Team

- Recruit and develop SNOWCO's initial operations team in Baddi.
- Establish responsibilities, operating procedures and performance standards.
- Build a culture of operational discipline, accountability and continuous improvement.

Drive Operational & Commercial Performance
- Develop route and capacity plans.
- Monitor vehicle and warehouse utilization.
- Evaluate cost per shipment, cost per kilometre and other operational metrics.
- Support pricing and commercial decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability while maintaining strong unit economics.

What We're Looking ForRequired

- 7+ years of experience in pharma logistics, cold-chain logistics, healthcare logistics, 3PL or a related field.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical distribution and transportation in India.
- Hands-on experience managing temperature-controlled logistics.




- Experience working with 3PLs, transportation providers and/or cold-storage operators.
- Experience managing operational teams and external partners.
- Robust understanding of shipment planning, routing, warehousing and distribution.
- Familiarity with temperature monitoring and excursion management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred

- Experience operating in Baddi or the North India pharmaceutical ecosystem.
- Experience with 2-8°C pharmaceutical shipments.
- Experience with controlled ambient or frozen logistics.
- Familiarity with GDP principles and pharmaceutical quality requirements.
- Experience setting up a new operation, facility, route or logistics network.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors.
- Existing relationships across the pharma logistics ecosystem.

Compensation

Compensation: ₹80-95 LPA, depending on experience and seniority.
