Head – Finance & Accounts (FMCG / Retail)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance & Accounts to lead financial strategy, governance, and business partnering for our rapidly expanding Consumer Products & Super Grains business segment. Reporting directly to Senior Leadership, this critical role will drive financial planning, working capital management, factory/plant accounting controls, direct/indirect taxation, and profitability frameworks for our consumer packaging and retail distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & AOP: Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term business modeling for retail/packaged food categories.

Business Partnering & Commercial Control: Drive profit optimization across pricing structures, trade schemes, supply chain logistics, trade margins, and promotional spends.

Plant & Inventory Governance: Oversee plant accounting, product costing,



yield analysis, working capital cycles, and inventory controls across manufacturing & co-packing facilities.

Reporting & Compliance: Ensure seamless monthly/quarterly financial closure, management reporting (MIS), balance sheet reviews, statutory audits, and adherence to Ind AS/IFRS.

Taxation & Treasury: Manage direct and indirect tax compliances (GST, Income Tax), cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and credit control frameworks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

Experience: 15 years of progressive post-qualification experience in finance.

Domain Focus: Mandatory 6 years in FMCG, Packaged Foods, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).

Location: Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Chennai.
