Position Overview The Head of Collections will strategically design, oversee, and manage the entire debt recovery lifecycle for our Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). This leadership role is directly responsible for minimizing Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), optimizing recovery rates across all delinquency buckets, and leading a high-performing team of internal professionals and external agencies.? Key Responsibilities

- Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Framework Design: Develop comprehensive collections and recovery strategies for early-stage, late-stage, and written-off loan portfolios.
- NPA Mitigation: Formulate robust mechanisms to control and reduce delinquency (Gross NPA and Net NPA) within specified targets.
- Credit Feedback Loop: Analyze collection trends to provide data-driven insights to the credit risk team to refine underwriting policies.

- Agency Management: Onboard, evaluate, and manage third-party recovery agencies and repossession vendors while ensuring strict code-of-conduct adherence.
- Field & Tele-collections: Oversee both desk-based tele-calling operations and field-force deployment across regions.
- Target Accountability: Establish and monitor monthly recovery targets across all delinquency buckets (Bucket 0 to Write-off).

- Tech Adoption: Drive the deployment of advanced collections platforms, automated dialers, and digital payment frameworks.
- Data Analytics: Leverage predictive analytics to segment delinquent accounts and design customized customer-outreach treatments.

Compliance & Legal Action

- Compliance Standards: Ensure 100% adherence to central banking guidelines (e.g., RBI Fair Practices Code), data privacy laws, and customer protection rules.
- Legal Remedies: Collaborate with the legal department to initiate actions such as SARFAESI, Section 138, or Arbitration for chronic defaulters.

? Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years in retail or corporate loan collections within an NBFC or Retail Bank, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Product Expertise: Deep experience managing diverse loan portfolios (e.g., Business Loans, LAP, Personal Loans, Vehicle Finance, or Microfinance).
- Core Competencies: High-stakes negotiation, deep legal/regulatory knowledge, analytical mindset, and exceptional team leadership.
