Role Description The HCC Coder role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The individual in this role will review medical records to assign accurate HCC codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements. Daily responsibilities include validating diagnoses, applying appropriate risk adjustment codes, and coordinating with clinical and billing teams to clarify documentation and support accurate coding.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated Coding Experience,



particularly in HCC and risk adjustment environments.
- Knowledge of Health Information Management practices and standards.
- Robust understanding of Medical Terminology relevant to diverse clinical specialties.
- Proficiency in Medical Coding using ICD-10-CM and related coding systems.
- Certification such as RHIT, CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding credential is preferred.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems.
- Ability to interpret clinical documentation and apply coding guidelines accurately.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance in all coding activities.
