Graphic Designer - Motion, Video & Social Media

Experience: 0–2 years The Role

As a Graphic Designer – Motion, Video & social media, you will be responsible for creating engaging visual designs for our social media retainer accounts.

Your work will span static posts, carousels, reels, motion graphics, short-form videos, and other social-first formats. You will work closely with Project Managers, Content/Strategy teams, and other designers to take an idea from brief to final execution.

A key part of the role is being able to adapt your design thinking across different brands, industries, audiences, and visual identities - while maintaining consistency and quality.

You will also contribute to Multia's internal social media and marketing communication, creating content that showcases our work, thinking, culture, and capabilities.

What You'll Do:

Motion & Video

•Create motion graphics, animated social posts, reels and short-form videos.

•Edit videos for social media, including cutting footage, transitions, pacing, typography, music, sound effects and basic colour correction.

•Animate typography, illustrations, graphic elements and existing brand assets.

•Adapt static designs into motion and video formats where required.

•Understand what makes content work specifically in short-form/social formats.

Social Media Design

•Design social media creatives across Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.

•Create static posts, carousels, infographics, campaign creatives and social-first visual content.

•Translate content and creative concepts into visually engaging social media formats.





•Work within existing brand guidelines while also bringing fresh visual thinking to each account.

•Develop and maintain visual consistency across ongoing social media accounts.

Collaboration

•Work closely with Project Managers, Content Writers, Strategists and other Designers.

•Participate in creative discussions and contribute ideas during brainstorming and reviews.

•Take feedback constructively and iterate designs based on internal and client feedback.

•Communicate clearly around timelines, dependencies and creative requirements.

What We're Looking For

•0-2 years of relevant experience in social media design, digital design, motion design or a similar role.

•Robust understanding of social media design and visual communication.

•Strong skills in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro or equivalent motion/video editing tools.

•Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

•Good understanding of typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, colour and visual storytelling.

•Ability to create both static and motion-based content.

•Understanding of social media formats, trends and platform-specific content.

•Ability to edit short-form videos/reels with good pacing and visual rhythm.

•Strong attention to detail.

•Ability to work across multiple brands and switch between different visual styles.

•Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple ongoing accounts and deadlines.

•Ability to take ownership of deliverables from brief to final output.
