The GM-HR will serve as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, driving people strategy, organizational capability, and cultural excellence across the company’s India operations. This role is pivotal in supporting a highly regulated, innovation-driven environment typical of the medical device industry. The GM-HR will oversee talent management, compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement to ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains top-tier talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, growth plans, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
- Lead change management initiatives to support scaling, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Talent
Acquisition & Development
- Build robust hiring strategies to attract specialized talent in R&D;, regulatory aƯairs, manufacturing, quality, and commercial functions.
- Oversee leadership development, competency frameworks, and career progression pathways.
- Implement learning programs tailored to medical device industry needs (ISO 13485, QMS, GMP, etc.).
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, medical device industry standards, and global corporate policies.
- Oversee payroll, HRIS, employee records, and statutory filings.
- Maintain audit readiness for HR processes, especially in regulated manufacturing environments.

Management
- Drive a performance culture through structured goal-setting, appraisal systems, and continuous feedback.
- Align KPIs with business objectives, quality standards,
and regulatory expectations.

Employee
Engagement & Culture
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and ethical conduct.
- Lead employee engagement programs, DEI initiatives, and wellness strategies.
- Strengthen communication channels across manufacturing sites, R&D; centre,
and corporate teams.

- Design competitive C&B; structures aligned with industry benchmarks.
- Manage annual compensation cycles, incentive programs, and retention strategies.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to support business-critical HR needs.
- Ensure alignment with corporate frameworks and industry best practices.
Qualifications &
Experience
- Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration.
- 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Robust understanding of Indian labor laws, compliance frameworks, and HR best practices.
- Proven track record in scaling organizations, leading change, and building high-performance teams.
