POSITION PURPOSE The role of Financial Accountant is to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and support the Phenna group achieve its financial, compliance & controls and business objectives. The role will be responsible for a number of subsidiaries within the Group and to deliver monthly financial reporting and reconciliations whilst supporting the overall Regional Finance team. In addition, the role will support internal reporting and statutory obligations.

The role ensures adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), implements global shared service strategies and processes as directed by the regional financials controller. Operating in an offshore capability, this role requires a strong focus on cross-border stakeholder management, shift-alignment for APAC time zones, and transactional execution excellence

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Finance

 Responsible for the month end processes for multiple subsidiaries within the Group and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results. Ensure results are compliant with relevant accounting standards.

 Post monthly journals, ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions and balances, prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

 Maintain and conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.

 Review results for accuracy and take appropriate action to rectify issues.

 Responsible for periodic reporting including income tax return preparation, indirect taxes eg. GST, FBT and payroll tax and PAYG reporting.

 Oversee payroll (review for accuracy and completeness, approval and accurate reporting).





 Maintain fixed assets registers.

 Assist with annual audit and any internal reporting requests.

Governance/Compliance

 Adhere to global policies including accounting and global compliance policies (delegation of authority, AML,

ABC, Sanctions etc.).

 Responsible for the management of local statutory and tax obligations and ensuring they are completed on time.

 Ensure annual audit deadlines are met and monthly reporting is reduced to 3 – 4 days.

 Highlight risks and opportunities to senior management.

System Implementation/Process

 Support in implementation of Netsuite as unification of ERP across entities as and when rolled out by

Group finance in UK.

 Identify and implement process improvements.

General

 Undertake other duties in line with skills and experience as requested.

 Be compliant with all Phenna Group Policies and Procedures.

POSITION TITLE: Financial Accountant (Finance Shared Services), India

REPORTING LINE: Regional Financial Controller, Asia

LOCATION: Porur, Chennai, India

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

 Chartered Accountant.

 5 years + experience in a similar role (including audit)

 Experience working across multiple entities

 A clear understanding of the skilled,



ethical and legal responsibilities relevant to the position and demonstrated ability to maintain compliance, manage risks and promote corporate governance

 Strong in technical accounting standards and their application

 Working knowledge of Australian indirect and income tax requirements is desirable

 Experienced at Australian reporting obligations including income tax, GST, payroll tax

 Previous experience with payroll is desirable

 Microsoft Office including advanced Excel

 MYOB, Reckon and/or Xero (an advantage)

 IBM Planning Analytics and IBM Controller (highly regarded)

 Experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC) environment serving the APAC region is highly desirable, especially with significant exposure to Australia.
