Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA – Finance or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounts, compliance, preferably in the social sector/NGO sector.
Position Summary:
The Finance & Compliance Executive / Senior Executive will be responsible for managing the organization’s finance, accounts, statutory compliance, FCRA, CSR, donor compliance, and governance-related documentation. The position will ensure accurate financial records, timely statutory filings, audit readiness, transparent financial systems, and compliance with applicable legal and organizational requirements. The role will work closely with the Executive Director, Operations Manager, Programme Teams, auditors, donors, and other stakeholders to support effective and accountable organizational operations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Finance & Accounts:
Maintain day-to-day accounts in Tally; record receipts, payments, bills, vouchers and other financial transactions. Manage payroll, reimbursements, vendor payments, invoicing, bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation. Prepare monthly financial statements, cash-flow reports, MIS and budget forecasts.
2. Statutory & Tax Compliance:
Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, ITR and other applicable statutory requirements. Maintain compliance calendars and trackers and ensure all registrations, renewals and statutory documents are updated and valid.
3. FCRA, CSR & Donor Compliance:
Maintain FCRA-related records and compliance requirements, including FC-4 and other applicable filings.
Support CSR-1 compliance, donor-wise accounting, utilisation certificates, budget utilisation and donor/CSR reports. Ensure MoUs, agreements and supporting documentation are maintained accurately.
4. Audit & Financial Documentation:
Coordinate with auditors and prepare documents required for internal and statutory audits. Ensure financial records, vouchers, registers and supporting documents are complete, accurate and audit-ready. Assist in preparation of year-end financial statements and audit documentation.
5. Organisational Governance & Compliance:
Maintain organisational policies, Board resolutions, registers, agreements and governance documents. Track compliance requirements and support management in ensuring timely completion of statutory and organisational obligations.
6. HR & Administrative Compliance:
Maintain payroll, employee records, attendance and other HR-related documentation. Support applicable PF/ESI, POSH and other statutory compliance requirements. Coordinate with the HR and Operations teams on compliance-related matters.
7. MIS, Reporting & Programme Support:
Prepare regular financial and administrative reports for management. Support Programme Teams with budgets, expenditure tracking, financial documentation and donor reporting. Monitor programme-wise and donor-wise expenditure and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Key Skills:
1. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial management
2. Proficiency in Tally and knowledge of GST, TDS, ITR and statutory compliance
3. Familiarity with FCRA and CSR compliance
4. Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills
5. Experience in audit coordination
6. Strong documentation and organisational skills
7. Attention to detail
8. Ability to work collaboratively with management, programme teams, auditors and external stakeholders
- Remuneration: Will be commensurate with experience.
