About the Opportunity

A globally active international freight forwarding and logistics organization with ambitious growth plans and an entrepreneurial culture is looking to appoint an experienced and business-oriented Finance & Accounting Manager – India.

Based in Mumbai, the role will provide financial leadership, operational support and business partnership to the India leadership team and global headquarters. The position will play an important role in strengthening financial processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving financial controls and supporting sustainable business growth.

Your Impact

The Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee the finance and accounting function for India, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance and effective financial management.

The role will act as a trusted finance partner to local management and global stakeholders, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Lead financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Indian statutory requirements.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to global headquarters.
- Maintain robust internal controls and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants,



payroll providers and other financial partners.

Financial Planning & Analysis

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and rolling forecasts.
- Analyse financial performance and identify key business drivers, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor profitability, working capital and cash flow performance.
- Provide financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.

Accounting Operations

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, collections, reconciliations and General Ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain high data-quality standards.
- Monitor credit control and support effective cash collection.
- Ensure compliance with GST and other applicable Indian tax and statutory requirements.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

- Lead, develop and support the local finance and accounting team.
- Establish transparent objectives and performance expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.




- Drive process improvements, automation and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
- Strengthen financial governance and standardization of processes.

What You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent skilled qualification preferred.
- 7–10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling or financial management.
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation or a related industry would be highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Indian accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to CargoWise and SAP FC would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
- Self-driven, hands-on and comfortable working in a growing, dynamic environment.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
