– Field Investigator

Position: Field Investigator Qualification: Graduate in any discipline

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in field surveys/data collection

Language: Marathi language proficiency is essential

Role Summary:

The Field Investigator will be responsible for conducting field-level surveys, collecting accurate and reliable information from respondents/beneficiaries, and ensuring timely and complete submission of survey data as per the prescribed methodology and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct field surveys and beneficiary/respondent interviews as per the approved survey methodology.
- Collect accurate and complete primary data through questionnaires, schedules, and prescribed survey tools.
- Interact effectively with beneficiaries, community members, and local stakeholders.
- Explain the purpose and process of the survey to respondents and facilitate their participation.
- Verify the completeness and consistency of information collected during field visits.
- Record and submit survey data accurately within prescribed timelines.
- Undertake field-level verification and re-verification wherever required.
- Maintain proper records of respondents, field visits, survey forms, and supporting documentation.




- Report data gaps, discrepancies, or field-level issues to the Regional Coordinator.
- Coordinate with Regional Coordinators and other field team members for smooth execution of survey activities.
- Adhere to prescribed quality standards, confidentiality requirements, and field protocols.
- Undertake frequent travel within the assigned geographical area.

Key Competencies:

- Good field survey and data collection skills.
- Fluency in Marathi is essential; ability to communicate effectively with local communities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office/mobile-based data collection applications.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
