2. Role Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Internal Audit is responsible for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency across branch operations through systematic audit processes.
3. Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct branch audits to assess operational, financial, and compliance risks.
2. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management systems, and governance processes.

Assess the accuracy and reliability of financial records and reporting systems.
4. Ensure proper safeguarding of assets and adherence to standard operating procedures.
5. Verify compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.
6. Identify control gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
7. Prepare and present audit reports with actionable insights to senior management.
8. Monitor and track the closure of audit observations and implementation of recommendations.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Audit function.

5. Educational Qualification
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
2. Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com)
3. MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution
6. Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, preferably in the Microfinance / BFSI sector
