Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Factory HR Manager to lead all factory HR operations, industrial relations, statutory compliance, workforce management, and organizational development initiatives. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in manufacturing HR, including daily HR operations, attendance management, contractual labour management, CLRA, labour law compliance, union management, employee engagement, and administration management. The role requires a strategic HR skilled capable of fostering a productive work culture while ensuring legal compliance and operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
Industrial Relations & Labour Management
- Manage industrial relations and maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Handle union negotiations, labour disputes, grievance resolution, and disciplinary matters.
- Build positive relationships with employees, union representatives, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with standing orders and labour regulations.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, including the Factories Act, CLRA, EPF, ESI, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Minimum Wages Act, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, maintain statutory registers, licences, returns, and legal documentation.
- Liaise with government departments and statutory authorities.
Time Office & Payroll Coordination
- Oversee attendance, leave management, shift planning,
overtime, and payroll inputs.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of time office records and manpower deployment.
Performance Management System (PMS)
- Drive the Performance Management System across factory functions.
- Facilitate goal setting, KRAs/KPIs, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
- Support managers in performance evaluation and capability building.
Employee Engagement & Organization Development
- Plan and execute employee engagement, welfare, recognition, and communication initiatives.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on HR policies,safety, and compliance.
- Support succession planning, talent development, and organizational capability enhancement.
Workforce Planning
- Develop manpower plans aligned with production and business requirements.
- Ensure effective induction, on-boarding and workforce deployment.
HR Reporting & Audits
- Prepare HR MIS, manpower reports, statutory compliance reports, and management dashboards.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 6 to 10 years of Factory HR experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Processing, or Industrial Operations.
- Strong expertise in Industrial Relations, Labour Laws, Union Management, Statutory Compliance, Administration Management, and PMS.
- Proven experience in handling labour disputes, collective bargaining, and government liaison.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive cultural transformation, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
