Job Title: Executive/Senior Executive

Reporting To: Manager – Fabric Sourcing

Job Purpose: The incumbent will be responsible for handling a team for vendor management for order procurement and ensure that best quality of fabrics are sourced at the competitive price.

VI. Key Responsibilities:

 Vendor Management

Improve relationship with existing and new vendors.



 Negotiate prices with new vendors.

 Evaluate capabilities of vendors with respect to quality, service & payment terms.

 Ensure feasible delivery schedules for all vendors.

 Monitor delivery schedule daily.

 Ensure timely payment of vendors.

 Order Procurement & Planning

 Schedule procurement of specialized yarns, fabric & accessories.

 Release PO for requirement.

 Follow-up on respective PO and work order to get the material in time,

subject to quality approval.

 Ensure on time approvals for fabrics and trims requirement.

 Allocate fabrics & materials for in house production.

 Prepare monthly, weekly & daily plan after receiving the production forecast from PPC.

 Overlook the schedule for cotton to yarn, yarn to knitting, grey fabric to dying & finished fabric processing.

 Supervise for quality and color.

 Sample Development

 Understand new & existing sample development requirement with all specifications.

 Analyze the types of fabrics, yarn, and yarn count.

 Ensure on time approvals on new styles development.

 Look after testing (lab dips Developments) for fabric, yarn, elastics and accessories.

 For new samples, identify new fabrics, new vendors,



decide on quality parameters & develop the same.

 Quality Management

 Ensure the procurement of right quality of fabric.

 Analyze the recurring defects found.

 Prepare a root cause analysis on physical rejection.

 Understand and identify the technical defects of the process.

 Coordinate with QC team to understand the scope of improvement in quality parameters.

 MIS

 Monthly fabric consumption & reconciliation report.

 Monthly SWOT & ABC analysis report.

 Vendor performance report.

 Team Management

 New joinee induction & training.

 Train & coach team on regular basis.

 Allocate work, assess team performance & give constructive feedback.

 Motivate & engage team productively

 Reduce absenteeism.

 PPC Team – For production material planning.

 QC Team – For day to day quality check.

 IAD Team - For current fabric sourcing and regular fabric issues.

 Accounts Team- For payments.

 PD Team- For new & existing fabric.

 IT Team- For SAP related queries.

 Stores Team- For fabric & yarn storage.

 External Vendors- For yarn sourcing.

VIII.

Person Profile

 Education: Diploma / Graduate / Post graduate / BE in Textile.

 Experience: 8-10 Years relevant experience.

 Functional/Technical Knowledge &

Skills: Microsoft Excel, basic understanding of textile technology, knowledge of upcoming new styles & fabrics.
