Role Description The ETL role at PPStack is a full-time remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes that support PPStack’s data-driven products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing data requirements, building efficient data pipelines, and integrating data from multiple sources into data warehouses and analytics platforms.
The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting, dashboards, and AI-powered solutions. The ETL professional will monitor data workflows,
troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security. This role contributes directly to PPStack’s mission by ensuring reliable data infrastructure that powers personalized learning experiences and strategic insights.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Extract Transform Load (ETL) concepts and experience designing and implementing ETL workflows.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, SSIS, Apache Airflow, dbt) and automation of data pipelines.
- Proficiency in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and schema design for analytics and reporting.
- Experience in data integration from diverse sources (APIs, databases, files, cloud services) and managing data consistency.
- Practical knowledge of data warehousing principles and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java).
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tools is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of data quality, governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Ability to collaborate in remote, cross-functional teams and communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
