About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Team Leader to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of our premium hotel/resort property. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, team-handling skills, and proven experience in a premium hotel/resort setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the Engineering & Maintenance team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all hotel equipment, machinery, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other engineering systems.
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of maintenance issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Take ownership of guest room maintenance complaints and ensure guest-related engineering issues are attended to promptly.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and other departments for the timely resolution of guest complaints and room-related maintenance issues.
- Monitor and maintain the swimming pool, including water quality, filtration systems, equipment, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ensure proper functioning and compliance with applicable standards.
- Manage and monitor the WTP (Water Treatment Plant), including water quality, treatment processes, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and equipment servicing.




- Ensure engineering equipment and utility areas are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for specialized maintenance and statutory requirements.
- Monitor engineering inventory, tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety procedures, statutory requirements, and engineering SOPs.
- Support energy and utility conservation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Be available to handle emergency breakdowns and critical engineering requirements as required.

Candidate Profile
- Premium Hotel / Resort Engineering experience is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader / Engineering Supervisor / Senior Engineering Technician role will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and hotel engineering operations.
- Hands-on experience in Swimming Pool, STP and WTP operations is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, DG, pumps, motors, and general hotel maintenance.
- Strong team-handling and coordination skills.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.
- Good communication skills and a guest-focused approach.
- Relevant technical qualification/certification will be an added advantage.
