Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing EPD team across IMEA, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, HR, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and capability development for technical talent across the region.
1. Engineering Portfolio Oversight
- Customized TWM Projects (DB/One-off): Oversee design and execution of pre-treatment systems (clarifiers, filters), membrane systems (high-recovery designs), WWTP and STP recycle systems, and ZLD systems.
- FEtD Systems: Manage customized feed and dose systems for heavy industries, mining, and downstream sectors. Lead innovation projects (e.g., Purate), standard offerings (e.g., 3DT), and capital-intensive projects in paper and mining sectors.
- Advanced Offerings: Champion water efficiency and sustainability through Water Efficiency Plan (WEP) studies, Smart Water Navigator, Water Risk Monetizer, TPA, and ETS audits.
- Facilitate delivery of Managed Operations - guaranteed Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) outcomes through operation and maintenance of water utilities, with a focus on heavy industry. Ensure excellence in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
3. Functional Capabilities of the EPD Team
Business Creation (Proposal & Sales):
- Assess customer and industry needs, challenges, and drivers.
- Establish water balances using advanced tools.
- Design best-fit solutions with cost estimation and value communication.
- Integrate process know-how with water technologies.
Project Management (Engineering & FEtD Systems):
- Deliver basic engineering packages for customized and feed/dose systems.
- Manage site execution, cost control, and timely delivery.
- Implement innovation projects through engineered systems.
Support Managed Operations
- Support the integration of all aspects of water treatment, including chemistry, by aligning with operational teams and providing necessary resources and insights.
- Contribute to the assurance of reliability, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction through cooperative monitoring and advisory input.
- Enable the delivery of consistent, impactful, and guaranteed value across the enterprise by reinforcing best practices and supporting execution teams.
1. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a key liaison between engineering, sales, and customer teams to ensure clarity of scope, value proposition, and deliverables.
- Represent the EPD function in regional and global forums, sharing best practices and aligning with corporate strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field).
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably in water treatment, industrial solutions, or project development.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and complex engineering portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, preference to recognized PMO certifications.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel locally and internationally as per business needs.
- Strong intercultural competence, with a preference for candidates with international exposure and experience in multicultural, multi-geography environments.
- Solid technical understanding of wastewater systems, membrane technologies, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and managed operations.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced, and culturally diverse environments across the IMEA region.
