The Opportunity
We are seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our team in the Battery Manufacturing Industry. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and automating our manufacturing processes using state-of-the-art robotics technology. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to optimizing our production efficiency.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Robotics System Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of robotic automation systems for battery manufacturing, including assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with robotic system suppliers and automation service providers. Oversee the evaluation, procurement, and performance monitoring of robotic systems and solutions to ensure they meet project requirements and timelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (engineering,
production, senior management) to align project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Engage external stakeholders as required for seamless implementation of robotics and automation projects.
- Technical Documentation: Design and develop detailed specifications, manuals, and all relevant documentation related to robotic systems. Ensure these documents remain updated throughout the system lifecycle.
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Plan, coordinate, and execute FAT to verify the functionality of robotic systems and equipment before installation. Ensure that all systems meet design and performance specifications.
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT): Oversee SAT at the manufacturing site, ensuring that the robotic systems perform as expected within the live environment and resolve any operational issues as they arise.
- System Integration: Integrate new robotic systems into existing manufacturing lines and ensure their seamless operation within current workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor robotic system performance and provide recommendations for system and process optimizations.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all robotics and automation systems comply with safety regulations, quality assurance processes, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, , Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Master’s degree or certifications in automation systems is a plus.
- Solid technical knowledge of robotics, automation, and control systems (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC robots).
- Programming expertise in languages such as Python, C , ROS, and PLC systems for the control of robotic systems.
- Project management experience with a track record of successfully managing complex automation projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Experience in vendor and stakeholder management, including contract negotiations and ensuring suppliers meet quality and performance expectations.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in battery production, assembly, and packaging.
- Problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and improving robotic systems.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies like IoT, AI, and machine learning for advanced manufacturing applications
Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Robotics or Automation Systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with advanced robotics technologies such as vision systems, machine learning algorithms, or AI-powered automation is a plus.
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes or similar high-precision production environments is beneficial.
