ELECTRICAL TEAM LEAD

Position: Electrical Design Team Lead

Mandatory Software Skill: EPLAN Electric P8/ AutoCAD hands-on experience

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the electrical design team and allocate project activities.
- Prepare, modify and review electrical schematics, control panel drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical documentation using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Perform selection of LV switchgear, MCC, PLC, VFD, Drive, relays, contactors, protection devices and other electrical components.
- Review electrical drawings for technical accuracy, applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Instrumentation Knowledge i.e Sensors, Transmitters, RTD, Thermocouple.
- Knowledge about Motor Selection, Encoder Selection, Torque Measurement System.
- Develop and maintain EPLAN macros, templates, device lists, terminal plans, cable schedules, BOMs and panel documentation.
- Coordinate with Instrumentation, Mechanical, Automation/PLC, Procurement, Production, Project and Commissioning teams.
- Support electrical panel manufacturing, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documentation and provide technical comments.
- Ensure electrical design activities are completed within agreed schedule, cost and quality requirements.
- Guide junior electrical engineers/designers and provide technical support.




- Participate in customer discussions and resolve technical queries related to electrical design.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in EPLAN Electric P8/AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of electrical control panels and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of LV switchgear and electrical component selection.
- Hands-on experience in electrical drawing preparation, modification and review.
- Positive understanding of IEC/IS electrical standards and industrial practices.
- Working knowledge of PLC, VFD, ABB Drives, MCC, control circuits and field instrumentation.
- Ability to independently handle electrical design activities from concept through manufacturing and commissioning.
- Good team leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in engine test benches, automotive, industrial automation, test-bed systems or similar engineering/project environments.
