Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Educational Counsellor role based in the Pune Division.

The Educational

Counsellor will interact with prospective and current students to understand their academic goals and recommend appropriate IFAS programs and learning pathways.

Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, providing accurate information about courses and examinations, and helping learners choose suitable career and study options. The role also involves maintaining student records, following up with inquiries, organizing counseling events or webinars, and collaborating with academic and marketing teams to improve learner engagement and satisfaction.

The Educational





Counsellor is expected to uphold IFAS’s standards of student support, ethical guidance, and quality education.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Educational Consulting and Education, with an understanding of competitive exam pathways and academic progression.
- Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling, with experience supporting learners through academic and personal decision-making.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including transparent verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills, with the ability to guide students toward suitable academic and research-oriented career options.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune Division, manage multiple student interactions, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, IIT JAM, SET, or PSC exams is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in local languages and English, along with basic computer and CRM tools, is an advantage.
