We are looking for a Django Developer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Python and Django to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong debugging and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of backend development, and the ability to build scalable and maintainable REST APIs.

You should be comfortable working with Django ORM, writing reusable code, optimizing application performance, and following clean architecture and development practices.

We also value developers who are comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and understanding the code they produce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
2. Design and develop REST APIs using Django and related frameworks.
3. Write efficient and optimized Django ORM queries.
4. Analyze and optimize database queries and application performance.
5. Debug and resolve application issues, bugs, and production problems.
6. Identify the root cause of technical issues rather than applying temporary fixes.
7. Write clean, reusable, modular, and maintainable code.
8. Follow a structured and scalable software architecture.
9. Participate in code reviews and improve existing implementations.
10. Optimize API response times, database operations, and backend processes.
11. Work with other developers to integrate backend services with frontend applications.
12. Understand and contribute to microservice-based architectures.
13. Use Git effectively for version control, branching, merging, and cooperative development.
14. Write basic tests and ensure the reliability of backend functionality.
15. Work with AI coding assistants and tools to improve development productivity, debugging, documentation, and code quality.
16. Keep learning and adapting to modern backend development practices.

Required Skills Python
1. Good understanding of Python fundamentals.
2. Familiarity with OOP concepts.
3. Understanding of functions, classes, decorators, exceptions, modules, and packages.
4. Ability to write clean and maintainable Python code.

Django / REST API
1. Good practical knowledge of Django.
2. Experience developing REST APIs.
3. Understanding of Django views, models, serializers, authentication, middleware, and URL routing.
4. Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
5.



Understanding of API request/response handling and HTTP methods.

Django ORM Database
1. Strong understanding of Django ORM.
2. Ability to write complex ORM queries.
3. Understanding of select_related , prefetch_related , annotations, aggregations, filtering, and related-object queries.
4. Ability to identify and optimize inefficient database queries.
5. Understanding of database indexing and query performance.
6. Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.

Debugging Problem Solving
1. Strong debugging skills are essential.
2. Ability to investigate issues systematically.
3. Ability to identify root causes from logs, stack traces, API responses, and database behavior.
4. Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
5. Comfortable troubleshooting both development and production issues.

Code Quality Architecture
1. Ability to write reusable and modular code.
2. Understanding of clean code principles.
3. Familiarity with clean architecture / layered architecture concepts.
4. Understanding of separation of concerns.
5. Ability to avoid unnecessary duplication and tightly coupled code.

Performance Optimization
1. Understanding of backend performance optimization.
2. Ability to optimize database queries and API performance.
3. Familiarity with caching concepts.
4. Ability to identify performance bottlenecks.
5. Understanding of efficient data processing and resource utilization.

Microservices
1. Basic understanding of microservice architecture.
2. Understanding of communication between services through REST APIs or other service-to-service mechanisms.
3. Understanding of concepts such as service separation, independent deployment, and API-based communication.

Git
1. Good working knowledge of Git.
2. Experience with branches, commits, merges, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
3. Understanding of maintaining clean and meaningful commit history.

AI-Assisted Development We encourage developers to use AI tools as productivity multipliers.

The candidate should be comfortable using AI coding assistants for:

4. Docker knowledge.
5. Understanding of Linux environments.
6. Basic knowledge of CI/CD.
7. Experience working with cloud/server deployments.

9. Experience working with microservices in a production environment.

2. Equivalent practical development experience will also be considered.
