Role & responsibilities

Must Have

Harness CD/CI (core)

- Pipeline, stage and step templates, template versioning, input sets, triggers

- Services, environments, infrastructure definitions, overrides

- Deployment strategies (rolling, canary, blue-green) and rollback configuration

- Failure strategies, retries, conditional execution, notifications

- Approvals (Harness, Jira, ServiceNow), RBAC, resource groups, audit trail

- Harness Policy as Code (OPA/Rego) for governance and policy enforcement

- Harness Git Experience (pipelines-as-code), Delegates, Connectors, secrets management

- Harness APIs and the Harness Terraform provider for automated pipeline creation and lifecycle management

Build containers and supply chain

- Docker multi-stage builds and base-image standardization

- Image scanning (Trivy, Snyk, Prisma or Aqua)



with gating logic

- Semantic versioning, image tagging and publishing to approved registries

- Build-once/promote-many model, including artifact promotion across environments

Artifact and source control

- JFrog Artifactory or Nexus: repositories, promotion, metadata

- GitHub: webhooks, GitHub Apps, branch protection, PR-driven workflows

Good To Have

Secrets and security

- HashiCorp Vault: auth methods (Kubernetes, JWT/OIDC, AppRole), agile secrets, HarnessVault integration

Kubernetes and GitOps

- Kubernetes, Helm and/or Kustomize

- GitOps with Argo CD (Harness GitOps runs on Argo)
