We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Build & Release Engineer to join our team supporting msg.Life Factory (LF), a leading policy administration platform for the life insurance industry. This role will be responsible for integration environments, daily builds, CI/CD pipelines, release management, technical troubleshooting, and supporting customer project deliveries. The successful candidate will work closely with Development, QA, Project, and Infrastructure teams to ensure stable environments and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

. Integration Environment Management Set up, maintain, and monitor integration/development environments, ensuring stability and availability for development, testing, and customer deliveries. Troubleshoot workplace issues and coordinate required changes and deployments.

. Build & CI/CD Management Manage daily builds and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving build failures. Continuously improve build automation and processes.

. Release Management Support new product and customer releases, including environment setup, deployment, validation, and Git branch management. Ensure correct code and configurations are included in releases.

. Technical Support for Customer Projects Provide technical support during customer implementations and deliveries, including environment setup, deployments, integrations, and issue resolution.

. Infrastructure & Technical Issue Management Act as the technical point of contact for Git, Jenkins, databases, JBoss, servers, build systems, and integration environments. Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

. Requirements & Technical Implementation Analyse client technical requirements and support their implementation, configuration, testing, and integration. Assess the impact of changes on existing environments and processes.

Documentation & Knowledge Management Maintain technical documentation, release procedures, troubleshooting guides, and the team Wiki. Document recurring issues and resolutions.

. Team & Project Support Provide technical support to developers, testers, and project teams while sharing DevOps and release-management best practices.

. Hardware & Software Coordination Coordinate hardware, software, licenses, access, and infrastructure requirements with relevant IT teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications (Must-Have):

Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and build/release management.

Good knowledge of DevOps / Git / GitLab / Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline configuration.

Experience with build automation, deployment automation, and release management.

Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Experience with Docker and containerization; Kubernetes knowledge is an advantage.

Good understanding of cloud platforms; preferably AWS.

Experience managing source control, branching strategies, versioning, and build dependencies.

Strong troubleshooting skills for build, deployment, environment, and production issues.

Experience with automated testing integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Ability to work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and client teams.

Good understanding of security, access management, secrets, and DevOps best practices.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hands-on L2/L3 technical capability with the ability to independently analyse and resolve complex issues.

Willingness and ability to take ownership of the DevOps area and gradually build/mentor a team.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with global teams.

Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers in a fast-paced Agile environmentRole & responsibilities
