About The Brain Bar The Brain Bar is a series of intimate gatherings that bring bold, thought-provoking ideas into unconventional and informal spaces.

We create relaxed, non-judgmental environments where conversations unfold with the guidance of an expert, while participants are encouraged to question assumptions, voice their opinions, and think out loud. From science and technology to culture, society, politics, and everything in between, The Brain Bar is about making meaningful conversations accessible, engaging, and fun.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of building the visual identity of this community from the ground up.

The Role

We’re looking for a Design Volunteer to work closely with the core team and play an active role in shaping how The Brain Bar looks and feels - both online and at our events.

This is a part-time, hybrid, unpaid volunteer role based in Hyderabad, and we’re particularly looking for undergraduate students who want hands-on experience working on a real, growing brand.

You won’t just be given design tasks to execute. You’ll get a first-hand look at how a brand is built - from figuring out its visual language and experimenting with creative directions to designing for real events, audiences, and communities. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, see your work go live, and play a meaningful role in shaping The Brain Bar as it grows.

What you’ll work on

- Designing social media posts, event posters, stories, and other digital assets




- Creating visual assets for The Brain Bar’s events and campaigns
- Designing and adapting presentations, slide decks, and simple print collateral
- Exploring creative concepts and visual directions for current events and formats
- Adapting designs across Instagram, WhatsApp, presentations, print, and other platforms
- Helping maintain and evolve a consistent visual identity for The Brain Bar
- Working closely with the core team to brainstorm ideas and refine designs
- Preparing final assets for both digital publishing and physical event spaces
- Experimenting with new design ideas rather than simply following an established template

What we’re looking for

- Undergraduate student with a genuine interest in visual design and creativity
- Comfortable with tools such as Figma, Canva, or similar
- Ability to create clean, engaging layouts for social media, presentations, and event collateral
- Basic understanding of typography, composition, colour, and visual hierarchy
- Someone who is curious, open to feedback, and comfortable iterating on their work
- Good communication and the ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
- An interest in ideas, conversations, culture, and community-building




- Prior experience with events, communities, college societies, or cultural initiatives is a plus, but not required

A note on the role This is an unpaid, part-time volunteer position. We’re specifically looking for students who see this as an opportunity to learn by doing, build meaningful portfolio experience, and take ownership of something that is actively being built.
