About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our client’s team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing significantly to the development and optimization of manufacturing components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with proficiency in FreeCAD, and will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings essential for manufacturing processes.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible, manufacturable, and meet all technical specifications. Qualifications

- Proficiency in FreeCAD for 3D modeling and parametric design.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Familiarity with CAD file formats and data exchange protocols between different systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.




- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

- Designing and modeling mechanical components using FreeCAD tailored for manufacturing applications.
- Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to validate design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Modifying and refining existing designs based on feedback and testing results to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Generating comprehensive technical documentation including detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Conducting design reviews to identify potential manufacturing challenges and developing effective solutions.
- Ensuring all designs adhere to industry standards and company quality protocols.
