- Design and develop passive safety components including airbags, seatbelts, retractors, pretensioners, buckles, load limiters, and associated brackets.
- Perform vehicle packaging studies and integration of occupant restraint systems within vehicle architecture.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Support concept development, design reviews, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with CAE, testing, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams throughout the product development cycle.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure design compliance with safety and functional requirements.
- Participate in DFMEA, DVP&R;, APQP, PPAP, and Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) activities.
- Support crashworthiness and occupant safety validation activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development, issue resolution, and design optimization.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as FMVSS, ECE, NCAP, and OEM standards.
