GramTarang Technologies is looking for a skilled CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE Design Engineer to support advanced engineering and 3D CAD design activities for a prestigious engineering program based in Recent Delhi. The selected candidate will work in an onsite engineering setting, using the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and CATIA to develop 3D models based on engineering inputs, design parameters, drawings, and specifications. The role requires robust hands-on expertise in CATIA, a good understanding of engineering design principles, and the ability to work closely with customer engineering teams.

Job Overview

- Position: CATIA Design Engineer, Structure L2

- Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

- Experience Required: 3–6 Years overall (with 2+ years of genuine hands-on design experience)

- Joining Availability: Immediate or within 20 Days

Key Responsibilities

- Develop accurate 3D CAD models using CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform based on engineering inputs, design parameters, drawings, and specifications.

- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, design parameters, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications.

- Create and modify 3D parts, assemblies, and engineering models using appropriate CATIA workbenches and design methodologies.

- Perform design modifications and incorporate engineering/customer feedback into existing 3D models.

- Ensure models are developed in accordance with applicable design standards, modelling practices, and project requirements.

- Work with engineering data and maintain appropriate design revisions and model versions within the 3DEXPERIENCE environment.

- Generate and maintain engineering/design documentation, reports, and model-related records.

- Review models for accuracy, completeness, design intent,



and adherence to provided engineering parameters.

- Support design reviews, technical discussions, and customer presentations.

- Prepare clear technical reports, presentations, status updates, and design documentation for customer review.

- Coordinate with senior engineers, architects/design leads, and customer engineering teams to clarify design requirements.

- Identify discrepancies or ambiguities in design inputs and seek technical clarification before modelling.

- Follow prescribed data security, confidentiality, document control, and customer-site protocols.

- Work effectively as part of an onsite engineering team and maintain professional communication with customer representatives.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with CATIA on the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

- Practical experience in 3D part modelling, assembly design, and CATIA design/modelling functionalities.

- Ability to develop 3D models from engineering drawings, design parameters, technical specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.

- Good understanding of engineering design principles and CAD modelling practices.

- Familiarity with design modifications, model revisions, and engineering change incorporation.

- Working knowledge of the 3DEXPERIENCE environment and its collaborative engineering capabilities.

- Good understanding of basic GD&T; and engineering drawing conventions (advantageous).





- Knowledge of product structure, assembly hierarchy, and design data management (advantageous).

Qualifications

- Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related engineering discipline.

- 3–6 years of overall professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years of genuine hands-on experience in CAD/design engineering.

- Practical working experience with CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

Preferred Industry Experience

- Previous hands-on design experience in Shipbuilding / Marine Engineering, Naval / Defence Engineering, Aerospace / Aircraft, Automotive / Heavy Engineering, or Industrial machinery / complex mechanical systems.

- Experience involving large assemblies, complex mechanical structures, equipment integration, or marine/defence engineering.

- Experience working directly with engineering/customer teams in a controlled engineering or project environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in 3D modelling.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to prepare and present technical information to customers.

- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

- Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet committed timelines.

- Must be willing to work full-time onsite at the designated customer/project location in Recent Delhi and be comfortable in a customer-facing engineering environment.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
