Role Description The Deputy Manager Commercial is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. This role oversees commercial operations related to rubber manufacturing, including contract negotiation, pricing, and customer agreements.

Commercial supports business planning, prepares commercial reports, and analyzes market trends to optimize revenue and margin. Daily activities include coordinating with production, sales, and finance teams, managing vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and commercial requirements.



The role also involves guiding team members, improving commercial processes, and contributing to strategic decisions for business growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Commercial Management and Contract Management skills to handle agreements, pricing, and customer/vendor negotiations.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Business Planning capabilities to interpret data, forecast demand, and support commercial strategy.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills to lead, coordinate, and develop commercial staff.
- Candidates should possess robust communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Relevant experience in commercial roles within manufacturing or automotive sectors is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other business reporting tools, along with familiarity with ERP systems, is preferred.
