Role Description The Depot Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a distribution depot, ensuring timely and accurate handling of stock and orders. This role includes planning and monitoring stock levels, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining proper documentation and inventory records.

The Depot

Manager will supervise and guide depot team members, allocate tasks, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines. The role involves resolving customer queries related to deliveries, working closely with logistics and sales teams, and continuously improving depot processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Manager is expected to use digital tools to manage operations remotely, provide regular reports, and support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Stock Management skills, including inventory control, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to coordinate depot activities, optimize workflows, and manage logistics processes.
- Candidates should possess Team Management skills to supervise staff, delegate tasks, and support performance and development.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle delivery-related queries, manage expectations, and maintain positive relationships.
- Candidates should possess Health & Safety awareness to ensure safe handling of materials, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of a secure working environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel) is beneficial.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Relevant experience in depot, warehouse, or supply chain management; a diploma or degree in logistics, operations, or a related field is preferred.
