About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, optimize and secure both relational and non-relational databases. You'll bring strong production experience, performance tuning, high availability setups and cloud-based database solutions, and you'll work on high-scale, high-throughput systems.

What You'll Do

Database Management

- Install, configure and administer Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL
- Manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra and DynamoDB
- Handle provisioning, upgrades, patching and migrations

Performance & Reliability

- Analyze and optimize slow queries, indexes and database workloads
- Tune performance at the database, query and infrastructure levels
- Proactively monitor performance and implement improvements

High Availability & Scalability





- Design and implement HA/DR solutions (replication, clustering, Always On, Data Guard, streaming replication)
- Keep systems highly available, scalable and resilient
- Contribute to capacity planning and scaling strategies

Backup & Disaster Recovery

- Design, implement and validate backup and recovery strategies
- Plan and test disaster recovery
- Ensure RPO/RTO requirements are met

Security & Compliance

- Manage database security: roles, access control and encryption
- Ensure compliance with data protection and governance standards
- Run regular audits and vulnerability assessments

Cloud & Automation

- Work on cloud platforms, preferably AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2-hosted databases)
- Automate routine DBA tasks with Shell, Python and PowerShell
- Support infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices

Collaboration & Support

- Partner with development and DevOps teams on schema design and deployments
- Support CI/CD pipelines involving database changes
- Provide L2/L3 support for production issues and incidents

Positive to Have

- DBA certifications (Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL)
