About the Company

Nexal IIT is offering a structured remote internship for freshers who want to begin a career in data science. The internship provides practical exposure to data collection, data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization through hands-on projects.

Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, preprocess, and organize datasets from relevant sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and insights.
- Use Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn for data analysis and visualization.
- Assist in developing, training, testing, and evaluating machine learning models.
- Apply basic statistical techniques to analyze datasets and support data-driven decision-making.
- Create charts, dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate data insights effectively.
- Use SQL to extract, filter, join, and analyze data from databases.
- Assist with feature engineering and data preparation for machine learning projects.
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and document results.
- Identify data quality issues and assist in improving the accuracy and reliability of datasets.
- Document analysis processes,



methodologies, experiments, and project findings clearly.
- Research relevant data science tools, techniques, and industry applications.
- Collaborate with remote team members and complete assigned projects and deliverables on time.

Requirements
- Suitable for freshers with an interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related area.
- Basic knowledge of Python programming.
- Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of statistics, probability, and data analysis concepts.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Scikit-learn and basic machine learning algorithms is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of data visualization and exploratory data analysis.
- Familiarity with Git and version control is beneficial.
- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines responsibly.

This is a paid, remote internship with a duration of 3 months and a performance-based stipend of up to ₹10,000.
