Role: We are looking for a curious and motivated Data Privacy Intern with an interest in privacy, technology, regulations, and governance.
The intern will gain hands-on experience working on meaningful privacy projects and collaborate closely with the Data Privacy and Protection team across various business and technology functions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Privacy Team with activities supporting DPDPA compliance.
- Support RoPA, Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs), data mapping, data inventories, and privacy assessments.
- Assist with DPIAs/PIAs, consent, data retention, privacy notices, and vendor privacy assessments.
- Support Consent Management and CMT-related activities, including documentation and implementation support.
- Support implementation of Privacy by Design across systems and processes.
- Collaborate with ISG, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business teams on privacy and data breach-related activities.
- Support Nuvama teams with DPDPA implementation, documentation, trackers, and remediation.
- Conduct research on privacy laws,
regulatory developments, emerging risks, DLP, and recent technologies.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of databases, data structures, and how personal data is stored, accessed, processed, and transferred.
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PDPA, HIPAA, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
- Awareness of Indian privacy and data protection regulatory developments, including relevant government bodies, ministries, and regulatory authorities.
Who are we looking for:
1. Education: Technology, Information Security, or a related field. Graduates from reputed colleges/universities in India are preferred.
2. Knowledge: Prior exposure to data privacy, compliance, cybersecurity, IT governance, or risk through coursework, projects, certifications, or internships would be an advantage.
