Description

We are seeking a Privacy & Compliance Specialist with 8+ years of experience to join our organization. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining robust privacy governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance across enterprise applications, and driving privacy-by-design principles throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy Governance & Assessments

Conduct comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for enterprise applications and systems on an annual basis and as needed

Develop, maintain, and evolve privacy assessment methodologies and frameworks

Document privacy risks and recommend mitigation strategies to stakeholders and leadership

Ensure privacy compliance across the entire application portfolio

Privacy Training & Awareness

Design, develop, and deliver privacy training content for technical and non-technical audiences

Conduct privacy awareness programs and workshops across the organization

Create educational materials covering privacy principles, regulations, and best practices

Track training completion and effectiveness metrics

Regulatory Compliance

Lead implementation and maintenance of GDPR compliance measures across applications and processes

Manage China PII (Personally Identifiable Information) handling procedures in accordance with local regulations

Monitor evolving privacy regulations and assess organizational impact

Ensure alignment with international and regional privacy requirements

Stakeholder & Legal Collaboration

Partner with Legal teams to obtain approvals for privacy-related initiatives, policies, and processes

Communicate privacy requirements and recommendations to legal and business stakeholders

Facilitate resolution of privacy issues and concerns across teams





Document privacy decisions and maintain audit trails

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Business teams to integrate privacy into solutions

Drive privacy and compliance initiatives across the enterprise

Influence privacy culture and accountability at all organizational levels

Provide privacy guidance during product development and system implementations

Required Qualifications

8+ years of qualified experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance

Proven expertise in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) at enterprise scale

Demonstrated experience with GDPR implementation and compliance

Knowledge of China data privacy regulations and PII handling requirements

Experience developing and delivering privacy training programs

Track record of working effectively with Legal and compliance teams

Strong experience with cross-functional collaboration in enterprise environments

Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/C, or similar)

Experience with privacy management platforms and tools

Background in application privacy and security

Experience with privacy-by-design frameworks

Knowledge of other regulatory frameworks (CCPA, LGPD, sector-specific regulations)

Familiarity with data protection impact assessments and risk management

Experience in highly regulated industries
