Senior DataPower / Managed File Transfer Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set

6+ years of experience with IBM DataPower (SFTP Gateway), IBM Connect:Direct (NDM), and AWS Transfer Family. Strong Linux, scripting, automation, encryption, certificate/key management, cloud integration, monitoring/logging, and disaster recovery experience. Familiarity with Ansible, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Primary Skills

- Engineer, implement, and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms.
- Define and maintain platform standards, architecture frameworks, and best practices.
- Support secure file transfer connectivity, client onboarding, and production readiness assessments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents,



perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive platform stability improvements.
- Execute platform upgrades, patch management, capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR), and resiliency testing.
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance controls across the MFT workplace.
- Drive automation, observability, cloud adoption, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring/SIEM integrations, cloud-native architectures, automation frameworks, Infrastructure-as-Code, and highly available MFT platforms.
