About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Luxoft. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms utilizing modern cloud technologies.

Your primary focus will be on building robust Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) pipelines, scalable data models, and analytics-ready datasets that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, extensive experience with cloud data warehousing solutions, and a passion for creating high-performance, governed data solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data engineering, with expertise in cloud-based data platforms and contemporary data tools.

Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering roles, with demonstrated proficiency in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DBT, Python, and SQL.



Strong understanding of data modeling techniques such as 3NF, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema is essential.

Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster, along with familiarity with CI/CD practices, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable ELT pipelines utilizing Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DBT, and Python to support enterprise data needs.
- Build and maintain comprehensive enterprise data models, including 3NF, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, micro-partitioning, and efficient warehouse management to ensure high performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop reusable, modular data transformation frameworks using DBT, incorporating Jinja templating, macros, testing, and documentation for maintainability and scalability.
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, and operational workflows using Python, Pandas, and PySpark to streamline data processing pipelines.
- Implement workflow orchestration and scheduling using tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster to ensure reliable and automated data workflows.
- Establish and enforce data quality, governance, monitoring,



and CI/CD best practices to maintain high standards of data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver trusted, analytics-ready data products.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
