About the Role
Aeren LPO is looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to join our team as Team Lead – Data Breach Review. The role involves leading a team of Data Breach Analysts, driving the accurate review, analysis, and classification of information related to data breach incidents, and ensuring every deliverable meets project-specific guidelines, client requirements, and applicable data protection standards.
Candidates with a legal background, particularly LLB graduates, and hands-on experience in Data Breach Review, Document Review, or e-Discovery projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Data Breach Analysts, allocating work and monitoring daily output.
- Plan and manage project workflows to meet quality, productivity, TAT,
and SLA commitments.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex or unclear cases and make guideline-based decisions.
- Interpret project-specific Data Breach Review Guidelines and translate them into clear instructions for the team.
- Conduct quality audits, sampling, and second-level reviews of coded, tagged, and categorised data.
- Identify error trends, share feedback, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Quality teams, and clients on project status, queries, and clarifications.
- Onboard and train new analysts; lead calibration sessions and guideline refreshers.
- Track and report team performance through daily and weekly MIS and productivity reports.
- Conduct performance reviews, set team targets, and support the appraisal process.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, review protocols, and best-practice documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies on data privacy, information security, and confidentiality.
Eligibility & Requirements
- LLB / B.A. LL.B / B.B.A. LL.B – Preferred.
- Graduates from other relevant disciplines may also be considered based on experience.
- 4–5 years of experience in Legal LPO, Document Review, Data Breach Review, e-Discovery, or Data Privacy.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising a review team (Team Lead / Senior Reviewer / QC Lead).
- Proven track record of meeting quality, productivity, and TAT/SLA targets at team level.
- Solid understanding of PII, PHI, and sensitive personal data categories.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people management, coaching,
and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for MIS and reporting); familiarity with review platforms is an advantage.
- Willingness to work from the office at IT Park, Chandigarh.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
Preferred Knowledge / Exposure
Candidates with knowledge or exposure to the following will have an added advantage:
- Data Breach Review and Incident Response projects
- Review platforms such as Relativity, Canopy, Reveal, or similar tools
- GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations
- Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) delivery models
- E-Discovery / Litigation Support
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Quality frameworks, sampling methodologies, and audit processes
- Relativity certification or equivalent (added advantage)
