Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Core Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer based in Bengaluru. The engineer will design, review, and optimize electrical and instrumentation systems for processing plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical documentation and drawings, supporting equipment selection, and integrating process control and instrumentation solutions into overall plant designs.

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical support during installation and commissioning, and assisting with troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation issues at project sites. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Preparation/Review & submission E&I; Basic & detail engineering deliverables to client/customer




- Tender/Procurement Support.
- Preparation of List of deliverable & Manhours Estimation.
- Front runner / Key member – Detailed Engineering team
- Responsible for Sizing Calculation, Selection of Electrical Equipment / instruments & Layout for Electrical & Instrumentation engineering.
- Responsible for Specification, data sheet & MTO for MV & LV Electrical Equipment and instruments.
- Prepare/review SLDs, Cable Tray Layout, BOM etc
- Experience in system testing (FAT and SAT)
- Hands on experience on drafting software like Auto Cad
- Develop Electrical and Instrument Layout drawings using Auto Cad Software.
- Develop Cable tray routing drawings using Auto Cad Software.
- 3D model review for collision checks of Cable Trays with Structure / Piping
- Knowledge of various safety standards/certifications in electrical field.
- Hazardous area safety regulations/classifications related to
- electrical/Instrumentation devices.

Other Significant Role Requirements:

Experience Basic & Detailed Engineering in Process plant viz chemical/Oil & Gas/Pharma plants or similar

Hands on experience on drafting software like Auto CAD & Cadworx

Knowledge of various safety standards/certifications in E&I; field

Continuous improvement & Productivity improvement initiatives.

Supervision:

- Overall responsibility of full scope of E & I for assigned projects.
- Vendor co-ordination like review of pre-order & post order documents.
- Experience in system testing (FAT and SAT).
- Ability to work in a team, and provide technical guidance for the junior members

Critical Competencies:

- Prepare proposals and manhour estimation for basic & detail engineering projects
- Vendor/Client/Inter discipline coordination
- Preparation MR and datasheets for Instruments and Electrical equipment’s
- Capable to develop new procedures, guidelines or standards.

Education and/or Experience:

- Education: Engineering graduate in Electrical or Instrumentation
- Experience: 8-15 years’ experience in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering in process plants, viz chemical/Oil & Gas/Pharma plants or similar
