- Lead the design and development of Sheet Metal and Plastic components, including 3D modelling, drawing creation, and BOM generation, aligned with budget, timeline, and project resource constraints.
- Own and drive the design release process including ECR/ECN management.
- Apply deep understanding of manufacturing processes for Sheet Metal and Plastic components.
- Utilize expertise in GD&T;, Tolerance Stack-up analysis, DFMEA, and engineering documentation.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong learning curve to adapt to new technologies.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and other product groups, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work within PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter,
for part lifecycle and data management.
- Provide root cause analysis and implement solutions to resolve technical challenges.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in mechanical and product design.
- Exposure to Electric Vehicle systems and components will be considered an added advantage.
Required Skills :
- Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in product or component development.
- Solid background in engineering drawings, 3D modelling, and design documentation.
- In-depth knowledge and application of GD&T; per industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
